WebDAV / DeltaV in Subversion

I have another question.

Can anybody explain me in some sentences the way subversion uses webDAV and
DeltaV?
I found the two documents:

But i do not completely understand how everything works.

I would be very pleased if someone tries to explain it to me in a simple
way.
