(no author) in logs via svn+ssh://

Hi!

My pet sysadmin has recently installed a new Subversion
repository (using 0.28.2) on our (Linux) server box.

We're getting a funny problem though.

Things work fine, except that all of our commits made since
this installation have (no author) as the change author in the
logs.

I understand that this is a FAQ for ra_dav access, but we're
(consistantly) using svn+ssh://. svnserve should be picking
up the ssh shell login username, right?

What might we have done wrong? Perms on the repo seem good,
and we're using a svnserve wrapper that does a umask 002 (neither
the wrapper nor the real svnserve is suid or such).

Can anyone help?

Thanks,
--Adam
