What are you talking about?

Subversion started out completely and totally ignorant of eol-style;
it treated all contents as binary data. Then we added the keyword-
and eol-translation feature. From the very beginning, we designed the
translation features to be "off" by default. There's never been a
time in Subversion's history when it "automatically used native eols
on all files."
