RE: Issue with Diff on repository checkout file

Hi Pavel,

Thanks so much for taking time to look into my issue.

First, please let me make it a bit clearer. Here is my process:

1. I have a repository
2. This repository is used by multiple users to work on a project.
3. Multiple users checked out the same source files on a folder within the repository.
4. Each user edited the file independently
5. I made a change to the file and before I commit the file back to the repository I would like to know the diff between my checked out file and the one in the repository.

I also re-attach the error message and typing the message as of below:

"The diffing engine aborted because of an error: Can't open file 'C:\Users\kp100012\Desktop\VVV\ImportXml.vb\basename:': The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.

Please note that the file ImportXml.vb is the real file. I have no idea of where the \basename in the file path came from. I guess it's part of the TortoiseSVN process to compare between the local file and the remote file on the repository?

You can not checkout a source file. That is why it is not clear what exactly you do to reproduce the error.

The attachment is missing.

BTW, it's a good practice to post error wordings in text format.
