> Well, then I suppose this is a feature request. The expected behavior I described is how Visual Studio, Notepad2, Sublime, and Firefox (among others) all function so I expected Tortoise Merge to do the same.

I think Patrick's feature request makes sense. I often double-click to select a word to copy and paste it into a commit message, but apparently I double-click somewhat sloppily because half the time I only copy the first part of the word. This is pretty frustrating and behaves unlike any other editor I use.
