While I contribute to a few projects that use git, I very rarely get over
than the released versions of other projects, so until I checked, I didn't
know that github doesn't have a feature to download a zip/tar file of just
a specifist version, though looks like gitlab might. For my personal
projects, I use Fossil, which does have that feature.

(At work, I use TSVN and SVN CLI.)
