Enhanced filtering for Changed Files dialog

Currently the filter option on the Changed Files dialog only permits a simple search filter string to be entered.
Would it be possible to enhance so there is an exclude option (eg these -notthese).

Ultimately a filter with the same syntax as used on the log messages dialog would be ideal.
