What exactly are the steps you are doing? It works for me, with the
latest svn (1.8.8).

When I click show log on a certain file, it shows the log of the file.
It also shows the other files changed in the same commit. When I select
'Show only affected paths', only the file I did the log on is shown.
This works the same for using a Show log on a sub directory.

'Show only affected paths' doesn't work for the search on top of the
show log window. But that doesn't search only paths, but also commit
messages, dates etc.
