Sorry. I misread that. We use Tortoise SVN with VisualSVN server.
Tortoise SVN only works with SVN servers and not with any other servers. If you are using Visual Source Safe, then that is not compatible with any SVN clients, Tortoise or otherwise.

Is it possible to have Tortoise SVN Client on the local and Visual SourceSafe on the Server side.
I am not sure if this is possible or just a stupid question, i am a little new to this.
This is a very old project and client is little rigid to move migrate the server. hence wanted to know if there is any alternative to check if only local machine can have Tortoise svn and connect to Visual SourceSafe on the server.
