Why would you need that if there's nothing in the externals that's
updated? If there is something in an external that gets updated/changed,
then it is shown.
Only if nothing in the external happens, then nothing is shown.

But if you really want that pretty useless info shown:
Settings dialog->Advanced->HideExternalInfo --> false
