LOL, that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! *Oh wait* I'll upgrade my OS because Stefan isn't going to keep compatibility with XP!!! I don't have any reasons to upgrade because ***W*I*N*D*O*W*S* *7*/*8* *S*U*C*K*S* *B*A*D*!*!*!*!*!*** I don't want to see a tablet-like 16-color checkerboard on my HD display!! If you want to give 'reasons' to your users to buy a crapload of OS then it's your decision, I'm not an idiot. Thanks for the (no) support.

Err, how much did you pay for TSVN? What makes you think you are
entitled to free support from volunteers for as long as it suits you?

Even Microsoft stops supporting XP in a few weeks. And Windows has
moved on a lot since XP was released and there are quite a lot of
features that TSVN uses that simply aren't in XP. Remember that this
is a windows shell extension, not a standalone app, so it hooks into
Windows Explorer and has to use the features provided there. These
things change with new Windows releases, though not always for the
better.

Windows 8 is certainly not universally popular, but Windows 7 is
generally regarded as an improvement on XP and that's likely where the
business PCs now running XP will go next.

I think the 'no reason' comment is just missing a smiley. Chill.
No-one is forcing you to update.

As Andy says, it is open source so if you want to create a fork of the
project and maintain XP support yourself then you are welcome to do
so.
