Unable to refresh log cache for tag, possible regression?

Hello,

It seems impossible to refresh the log cache when using the log dialog
to look at the log messages for a tag. This has been reported before:

The solution (refreshing the log cache by pressing F5 or Ctrl-F5) works
when someone has changed the commit message for a commit in trunk, but
not when someone has committed to a tag and then changed the message.

I am using v1.8.5.
