Edge is a different product which I'm not familiar with so I can't tell
you. However the most likely cause of problems is that the http library
used by subversion has changed from neon to serf. If you get the same
problems with a stock subversion command line client then your best bet is
to ask for help on the subversion users mailing list.

There is no login with subversion. You only get prompted for authentication
when you try to do something in TortoiseSVN such as checkout, browse
repository, show log. If there is a separate login then that is part of a
different product and not TortoiseSVN.
