You still haven't said how you're trying to access them
(file/svn/http/etc) or what version your servers are running. It might
matter.

Also, one of my coworkers recently reported getting "illegal revision"
errors when he tried to look at the logs from the Merge command after
installing 1.8.2.

I think he managed to resolve it in the end by rebooting an extra time
after installing 1.8.2. Maybe that might help this case too?

(Failing that, maybe try uninstall-reboot-install-reboot. Or making a
fresh checkout rather than using an old working copy.)
