Tortoise 1.8.2 Hangs

Just installed TortoiseSVN 1.8.2 and when pointing it to our current repositories it just hangs and never pulls in the repositories and you have to kill the process through Windows taks manager. When reinstalling a 1.7 version it works fine. We duplicated this with 4 other machines. I was surprised that I haven't seen anything on this. Any ideas?
