I'm using msbuild and the SvnVersion task that is part of the Msbuild Community Tasks, so if I want to stay with those I don't have much of an option (as they call out to the process).
I can install SlikSVN and it's fine. I just thought perhaps the Tortoise team would like to know about a bug that could be affecting other users (considering I've seen it on two completely separate systems, and others on my team have experienced similar problems).
A new note: I just setup a build server with Windows Server 2008 R2, and it works fine.
