Can't see that: if I modify such a file and save it, the 0x0B and 0x0C
are still there, not replaced with CRLF.

However if you mean that they're shown in the view as a newline, then
that's correct. The vertical tab is shown as a newline. And the form
feed is shown as a newline with a horizontal page break shown.

how else would you suggest these to be shown instead? That's what most
editors show them like.
