I already tried uninstalling, reboot, reinstalling TortoiseSVN, to no avail.

Only then did I notice, that in my German Win7 installation, I somehow must have switched to Arabic date/time formattings. This resolved the problems. I wonder, why no other application stumbled into this, though.

And please forgive me the bad subect for the first message :/
