Bug: Annoying dialog when closing TortoiseMerge

From: Josh Green <inbilla_at_gmail.com>

Hi there,

I'm using TortoiseMerge (TortoiseMerge 1.8.0, Build 24401 - 64 Bit ).
Obviously I am using it to review changes before a commit, and as such I
often end up with many stray Merge windows open with old versions of the
diffs in them.

The problem shows itself when I have a merge window open and change the
files on disk with it still open.

When I go to close the window from the task bar (Often I will purge all
open windows of tortoiseMerge from the taskbar). The new version of
TortoiseMerge now will refuse to close the application until I decide what
to do about the changed files, should it reload? should it ignore? or
cancel my operation? No matter which button I click, it ends up closing the
application.

Previous versions would have only presented a dialog if there were unsaved
changes in the window.

This is incredibly annoying as I now have to dismiss each and every window
individually.

I'd love to see this issue resolved quickly!

Thanks guys, great product otherwise!

Josh
