Hi Walter,

I understand why you want to do this, but at the moment I don't
personally have the time to do it. I have not even had time to update
the docs for the 1.8 release yet and that has to take priority. I'm
still waiting for that quiet day that never comes ...

If you would like to do this yourself then of course you are very
welcome to submit a patch, or multiple patches, and I'll commit it for
you.
