Very slow access with Repo-Browser

Hi,

we use a SVN Repository available via HTTPS and use a client certificate that is stored on a smartcard.
When accessing the repository with the Repo-Browser, browsing performance is very poor. What we figured out so far may be the problem is that the Repo-Browser always tears down and reopens the SSL connection. Also this may generally not be a huge problem in combination with a certificate stored on disc, this becomes a problem in our scenarios as the smartcard is access many many times. Since a smartcard by design is not necessary a fast device this is most likely the cause for the problem. Using a browser in the same scenario (Firefox, IE, Chrome) does not result in poor repo browsing performance (and also not in multiple accesses to the smartcard).

Is this a bug or are we missing something?

Cheers,

Tino
