Unversioned files not displayed

I'm having problems with 'Check for modifications'. I want a list of Unversioned files in a directory, but they are not showing up in the 'Check for modifications' list even though I have both Unversioned and Ignored checked.
In the case of the directory I am currently checking, the status summary above the buttons in the "Check for modifications' windows indicates there are 13 non-versioned files, but the list box says "No files to show with the current settings". If I view the directory using explorer the non-versioned files are clearly identified by tortoisesvn by the icon overalys.
Anybody have any idea what is causing this?
I'm running TortoiseSVN 1.7.12, Build 24070 - 64 bit on a 64 bit Windows 7 PC.
