Unable to install 64 bit version after moving to windows 7 64 bit

I recently upgraded laptop from 32 bit xp system to 64 bit windows 7 system. they copied all my programs over. I tried to install 64 bit version of svn and got an error said i need to uninstall 32 bit version. I tried using the remove program and i found it in the list but when i click on it and say uninstall i get an error saying trying to run 32 bit install 64 bit. I'm stuck. Any help would be appreciated
