RE: Suggestion for FAQ update

Hi Simon,

I just installed/reinstalled TortoiseSVN to reproduce the problem. I tried launching regedit from "Run...", launching from "Run..." with Ctrt-Shift-Enter, and right clicking regedit.exe and launching with "Run as administrator". All of the above methods tell me access denied when trying to save changes to the key. For my system, PsExec is the only thing that works that I have been able to find.

AFAIK the "Run..." prompt does not launch with admin privileges by default. If you enter Regedit and then hit Ctrl-Shift-Enter instead of OK only then do you get the UAC prompt before starting the command in admin mode. Please could you retest and see if this makes a difference.

I just added your method to the FAQ but if you can get this alternative method to work instead then it would be much better.
