Why does it have to be "proven" before its done? Do you have to prove that every change you make to a website will have the effect that you desire? Why are you opposed to putting a border around the ad? What would it harm?

I don't recall anyone suggesting getting rid of advertising. The hosting model can still be based on advertising if the advertisement has a border around it.

Put the border and label on *first* (with a promise to keep it that way for some reasonable length of time... preferably indefinitely), and I'll make a donation of €150. Seeing that have not seen any interest at all from Stefan in adding the border, there's no way I'm going to donate and hope that the border gets added. I don't know how much tortoisesvn.net's hosting costs, but seeing that the actual downloads are hosted on SourceForge, it shouldn't cost much. It seems to be hosted at metanet.ch, where hosting starts at 6.70 CHF/month, so €150 should buy over 26 months of hosting on the cheapest plan.
