Re: TortoisePlink not working with latest Pageant

I have upgraded to the Nightly build of Putty, it makes no difference, it
still prompts me for my password though I am using the latest version of
Pageant.exe with 1.7. Anyone?

I have tried TortoiseSVN 1.7.6, 1.7.2, and 1.7.1 with (PuTTY) Pageant 0.61
and 0.62. All of those versions required me enter my credentials dozens of
times every time I opened a repo browser. I even tried Pageant 0.60 with
TortoiseSVN 1.7.6, then additionally tried replacing TortoisePlink with the
one from TortoiseSVN 1.6.16-- all to no avail. I have compared TortSVN 1.7
vs 1.6 on two different laptops with the same results.

However, when I install a complete TortoiseSVN 1.6.16 and use Pageant 0.60,
it works fine (as long as I preface the repo URL with my userid@).

THERE ARE A LOT OF SVN EXTERNALS REFERENCED IN OUR BRANCH. Occasionally
they have given us problems even when I had Pageant and TortSVN working
harmoniously, although our SVN admins have been able to fix those problems.
There were many times when it seemed that credential requests were
associated with those SVN "Externals", even when I was using svn command
lines (like "svn up" or "svn co") on a Linux box via PuTTY itself. The svn
command would go fine until it came to an "external" directory, then demand
userid and/or password. Even when I had the above described problems with
TortoiseSVN/Pageant, they would mostly or completely go away when I
navigated to a subdirectory which had no "external" refs.

I hope this helps.
