email on crash does not work

When I have a crash of the revision graph
(see http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org/ds/viewMessage.do?dsForumId=4061&dsMessageId=2876236)

tortoisesvn offers a dialog to send an e-mail about the crash. I cannot get this to work.

There are basically two options:
1)- let the crash dialog create an email. This returns the error: there is no email program coupled... (translated from dutch)
 I'm using Thunderbird. I have tried windows live mail to no avail.

2)- save the message to a zip archive. For that option there is no suggestion who (email address) to send it to.......
