RE: files in externals cannot be checked in

more details:

I recently upgraded the client to 1.7.1.
The server is still at 1.5.1
I'm running windows 7, 64bit

As I mentioned, an interesting fact is that the externals which existed *before* the upgrade work just fine.

something like:

proj
proj/foo (external set up after the upgrade)
proj/bar (external set up before the upgrade)

on commit, a file changed under foo will show up in the list, but greyed out and unchecked. A file changed under bar can be committed just fine.
