RE: All links use Firefox, not default browser.

Confirmed - this is just my system.
Sorry for the false alarm.

For those equally confused:

There are several defaults for a browser in Win7, and while chrome was my default for html files, it was not the default for application-based links.

To correct this, I opened the "Default Programs" control panel item, chose "Set your default programs", and chose the browser I wanted. When it was selected, below the description it said that the browser had 2 of 19 defaults. When I clicked the big "Set this program as default" button, that text changed to "This program has all its defaults"
