4 Misc questions

I scanned the manual but have not found out how to:

1. find out what version of SVN my Subversion provider Wush.net is using. I have been dead in the water for weeks with one directory stuck. I thought perhaps he might be using an old version.

2. find out how to get rid of old detail on the server, collapse versions older than two years into one to compact my server side repository.

3. Is the repository stored as the original plus deltas to get it to the present like PVCS or current with deltas to take it back into the past like TLIB? (this is just curiosity.)

4. Is there a way to start over a single directory as a way of clearing the lockjam that is making it unusable?
I would be happy to get rid of all history just to get working again.
