TortoiseSVN 1.7 Checkout/Update slower than 1.6 version

Hi, everyone again. One more question. I have installed both 1.7 and 1.6.16 TortoiseSVN versions on the same computer. 1.7 checkout speed is about four times slower for me (less than 100Kb/s compared to 400Kb/s which is my internet connection limit). What can be a reason for this? Can be this caused by older server version so 1.7 may need convert something during checkout? Any ideas?
