I knew I forgot something!
When I started implementing the Win7 library stuff, I didn't have the
time to find out how to deal with the paths the shell extension receives
for those libraries. I made a mental note to deal with that later - but
as you can see, my mental storage isn't that good :)

No. There are only two options: show the button if an item is selected,
and/or show the button if nothing is selected.
That's all. No way to show a button depending on some other condition.
