Mine shows >> var WPKG_VERSION = "1.2.1-RC7"; << at the beginning.

Did you extract the contents of the tarball and replace your current wpkg.js file with the one from the archive?

BTW, do not use the release folder of the SVN repository, since that contains the released version, which is 1.2.0, only the stable
folder contains the corrected version.
