If you just worry about your working copy: It is not "registered"
anywhere. You can just delete the directory.

Or, if your code and the official repository still have a common
ancestry, you may even "svn switch" to the current code.

You can upgrade TSVN. If your previous version is before 1.6.10, you
have to run a repair install of TSVN after the upgrade, but in all other
cases it runs seamlessly without problems (I did it myself several
times).

But you don't need to abandon you working copies just because you
upgrade TSVN - all 1.6 versions are compatible, and all major versions
(like the upcoming 1.7) know how to upgrade working copies of older
versions (e. G. 1.5).
