Did you use the Check-for-modifications dialog to check whether the
files are really ignored or just used the overlay icons? Because you
have to refresh the explorer view first to see a change there.
Also, are the other files with the same extension unversioned or
versioned? If they're versioned, ignoring them won't work at all.
You can check the ignore pattern yourself: show the properties dialog,
then select the 'svn:ignores' property.
