If we're talking about the Working Copy dialog (at least in the
English translation), for me those tooltips appear over the top of the
selected item (not below them), and also only if the path is too wide
for the column.

I'm not sure why the tooltips would appear below the item instead of
over it (which indeed would be annoying as it'd prevent you from
reading the next line). Maybe it's a difference in Windows versions?
I'm using Windows 7, FWIW.

But, anyway, if you just resize the column so it's wide enough to show
the full path without truncation then the problem should go away.
Assuming the path isn't too long for your screen resolution, of
course.
