Hello folks.
I'm sorry if this issue has been reported previously, but I could not find anything relating to it in the mailing list so I am sending this report. It's not a major issue, and I can work around it, but it is rather inconvenient when it happens.
What I Did
In the Log Messages window (after selecting TortoiseSVN -> Show Log on a directory), I select a revision which has changes in both the currently selected directory as well as parent directories. I then check the 'Hide unrelated changed paths' option, choose a file in the changed file list and select 'Show changes'.
What I Want to Happen
After the above, I expect the changes to be opened for the file I actually selected. (In case it is relevant, I am using the external WinMerge difference tool, not the internal TortoiseDiff.)
What Actually Happens
Instead of opening the changes for the file I selected, TortoiseSVN opens a completely different file in the list. A work-around is to uncheck the 'Hide unrelated changed paths' option, although it does make finding the required file difficult. I suspect what happens is that the file index offsets are not updated when the option is selected. I think the issue occurs for any choice in the sub-menu, not just the 'Show changes' action.
This report is for the currently released version of TortoiseSVN: 1.6.12, Build 20536 - 64 Bit , 2010/11/24 20:59:01
Thanks for your time and consideration.
