cannot checkout one directory from anonsvn.kde.org

using Tortoisesvn 1.6.12 based on subversion 1.1.15:

svn co
svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/branches/KDE/4.5/kdebindings/perl/qtgui/examples/widgets/icons

fails with

svn: In Verzeichnis ~icons@
svn: Kann Datei ~icons\.svn\tmp\text-base\IconSizeSpinbox.pm.svn-
base@ nicht öffnen: Das System kann die angegebene Datei nicht
finden.

(cannot find this file)

the same works on linux with subversion 1.6.12 (r955767)
