Error: Can't set position pointer [...] : An attempt was made to move the file pointer before the beginning of the file

I have Tortoise SVN running on some windows virtual servers. I can check
out, check in, etc. successfully. However when I attempt to look at the
checkin log, or view the revision graph, I get an error that looks like ;

Can't set position pointer in file 'C:\svn_repository\XXX\db\revs\0\955': An
attempt was made to move the file pointer before the beginning of the file.

I'm somewhat of a novice user and don't have much of a clue as how to
proceed to debug this. I think a colleague has been able to demonstrate
this same issue with his client running on WinXP on his desktop machine
(rather than a virtual server). I know the machine the svn server itself is
running on has been rebooted earlier today and that hasn't solved the issue.

Any suggestions would be sincerely appreciated -

Newdaddy
