Did you skip over everything prior to chapter 4? As a user (and not
server administrator), you don't have to know how the server itself
works but you at least need to understand the core Subversion concepts
- the repository, working copies, and how those interact with your
workflow. Go back & read chapter 2, as well as chapters 1 & 2 of the
