access is denied in Win7 x64

Attempting to update any directory on the network results in (for
example) ...

"Can't remove file
'V:\climate\dewhirst\mcm\business\roundup\helpdesk\.svn\log': Access is
denied."

... where drive V:\ is part of a Novell Netware LAN.

A test-file commit succeeds - but - results in the same error.

It works perfectly on drive C: and On another Win XP SP3 (fully patched)
machine there is no problem with the same revision of 32bit TortoiseSVN.

Infrastructure:

HP Pavilion dv7 with Intel Core i7 8Gb RAM
Windows 7 Home Premium x64 (fully patched)
Novell Client 2 SP1 for Windows (IR3)
TortoiseSVN-1.6.10.19898-x64-svn-1.6.12.msi
and TortoiseSVN-1.6.10.19898-win32-svn-1.6.12.msi
Every .exe file in both 32 and 64 versions has had privilege escalated
to "Run this program as an administrator" for all users.
My own login is equivalent to administrator.

What tests can I do to diagnose deeper?

Thanks for any advice

Mike
