Re: Explorer Crashes When Right-Clicking a Folder

Hi

For the latest version just go to the downloads page. I downloaded 1.6.8 a few days ago for win 7 x32. But it might be higher now.

I was running Xp sp 3 as well. This was a generic problem not just for svn and pd but for many other programs as well.

Do not run the PowerDesk fix, but using that fix, Google for the Microsoft kb article to find the fix you need. I think there was a reference to which patch pd was being applied against. This problem was one of the reasons I dumped xp and went to win 7 x64. I spent too many hours trying to resurrect xp to some functioning state in the middle of time critical engineering projects.

I would suggest switching to win 7 64, I have yet to find any problems with crashes or bugs in several months. I use vmware with an xp sp3 image for the few programs I can't run in win 7. If you decide to go this way, install the x32 versions of software that need to integrate with the rt click properties.

I experienced this many times, but I was using PowerDesk. I finally dropped PowerDesk totally and went to XYPloyer instead. However the PowerDesk fix might still work for you even though you don't use PowerDesk, or it may be enough at least to allow you to find the KB fix to work around the problem. I know what you mean about this problem being frustrating, I spent more time trying to get Windows to work then I was doing on the work I was supposed to get done. Win 7 x64 seems to have fixed all this, at least I haven't had the same problems as with XP.
