Somehow this 2nd report about functionality fell under my other help bug report thread (perhaps because I began it as a reply), and I think it was missed that way, so I'm resubmitting it. Hopefully I won't lose my "virtual beer" credit on this one :)

In help section 4.3.1 of the TortoiseSVN 1.6.10 help, the paragraph
starting with "In the check for modifications dialog," says "The dialog
will show all the files and folders which are in the repository but
which you have not checked out as remotely added."

HOWEVER:
 I have checked out only my tags folder, and then when I use "check for
modifications," and click on Check Repository, I do not see the tags, so
 I can't click on them and select Update. [Btw, the Repo-Browser method
 described in the same help section does work for me]
