Bug report: Icon overlay loss

Bug report: Icon overlay lost after upgrade to 1.6.8
Prior release: 1.6.7 (then current)
Mitigation: reverted to 1.6.7 successfully

System config:
Power Mac 10.6
VMware 3
Windows 7 64bit

Other info:
No actions were taken on repositories. This was a visual indicator and I changed the icon style in 1.6.8. After no change, I reverted. Reverting did show the icon change. Reverting that change worked as well.
