By default, you will get the latest version of the code in the repository.

Have you considered asking the maintainers of that project what they
prefer you use?

Depending on how your proxy is configured and what you need to do with
the repository, this may not be a problem, but it could present
issues.

You really ought to get familiar with the software before you dive in.
