All Subversion clients & servers in the 1.x line are compatible via
the RA (network) layer. A 1.6 client can talk to a 1.0 server. Not all
features will be supported, but nothing will break.

All clients using a given working copy must be the same major.minor
version; that is, if you're using TSVN 1.6.x, you cannot use Subclipse
or the command-line client built against 1.5 or earlier.
