sorry 4mbps. Uploads are about 512kbps - so compared to France its
slow.

Not sure about the proxy. Could well be something that is inspecting
the http packets, but can't do anything with https.

I've switched everything to https. We do have a small issue with
branching and merging on https (because of the way we have configured
access to the server) - but we can do that from a non-Windows 7
machine.

But I'd still like to know what the problem is on http and windows 7
and why it doesn't affect XP or Linux machines.
