Migrationg from Windows XP to Windows 7

I should migrate from Windows XP to Windows 7: it safe to simple copy
my repositories folder (is local at my machine no others access is
posssible while I copy folder) from origin to new destination OS? And
when I migrate folder, how can set with tortoisesvn the URL of cached
reporitories using tortoisesvn settings?.. I prefer don't install
subversion and using hotcopy: I'm crazy? :-D
