Thanks for taking the time to dig that stuff up and write back. The really important fact is that, while running in the debugger, TortoisePLink completes its work and cleanly closes the TCP connection to the remote sshd/svnserve. Without that, looking at both the PLink log and the Ethernet trace, it's 100% clear that the TCP connection is being prematurely closed by PLink. And this is only on my 2.5GHz quadcore. The exact same TortoiseSVN version (except 32bit) on my 1.8GHz is completing the SVN commands and cleanly closing the TCP connections.
