No, what I'm saying is that the spell checker always uses the Language Pack once installed, independently on the global "Language" setting (always set to "English", in my case). I always found this counter-intuitive and the proposals try to address the (somehow weird, in my opinion) behavior.
Can this be simply due to an issue where the spelling doesn't use the default ("English") when a language pack is present? If so, I'd say a way to use independent settings (one for the GUI, other for the spelling language) would still be useful. :-)

Exactly.

Yes, I would also expect than "tsvn:projectlanguage" overrides any default setting. I was only trying to address the default behavior (whenever "tsvn:projectlanguage" isn't set).
